This week I'm offering a variety of cards from non-sport sets of the Fifties and Sixties. In 1963, "The Outer Limits" premiered, a science fiction series considerably higher in quality than most. The following spring, Topps jumped on the bandwagon in typical fashion. They took black and white photos from the episodes, colorized them, and wrote a bunch of brief stories to go with the photos (Note that the stories on the backs of these cards have NOTHING to do with the plotlines of the actual episodes!). This series of 50 cards was a big hit and remains one with collectors today, made challenging by the black borders on the front that show wear very easily. This is card #28, "Twin Space Terrors,". It's in acceptable shape with no creases but showing wear on the black borders (see scans for condition). All in all, an attractive example of a popular set.
