This week I'm offering a number of old non-sport cards from various vintage sets. The S33 set consists of small silks, small (about 2 1/4 x 3) pieces of fabric with an image, designed to be sewn onto a blanket, pilliow or quilt,. These were issued around 1910 with various brands of cigarettes. Many fine non-sport sets were thus represented a little over one hundred years ago. S33 consists of about 150 different images, paralleling the T59 set of flags of the world issued around the same time. There are many variations, including a numbered series, a series issued by Sovereign cigarettes, and a series issued by Egyptienne Straights cigarettes. It is not clear if every flag appeared in every varient series. The pieces are colorful and are highly prized by collectors. Here a lot of 53 silks, with minimal duplication. They show the typical fraying at the top and bottom but are otherwise in very nice shape. Some even have the original paper backing. The lot includes three from the numbered set, 15 issued by Sovereign, and the rest by Egyptienne Straights. Different factory numbers are represented (see scans for condition). Not too bad for collectibles that are over one hundred years old!  This would be a terrific addition to any collection! Shipping is $4.00 for First Class Mail, and postage will be combined for multiple winnings.
