Painted Fan

Travel souvenir from the early 1990s. Paper and bamboo folding fan with an original ink painting depicting Yue Fei (a historical Chinese general and hero) and his horse with his most famous poem in Chinese calligraphy alongside, and his most famous and patriotic words, "Utmost loyalty to the nation," on the back in large calligraphy.

Length 13";  width when opened 24.5".

It makes for an exquisite gift or a collection item for an art lover, especially East Asian art.
