You are bidding on a Good 1936-S silver Washington head quarter with no problems.  The auction starts at only $5.00 with no reserve.  If the buyer is unhappy (for any reason), I offer a complete refund (including shipping) for 14 days.  This design was originally intended as a “one year” Commemorative Coin to honor the 200th anniversary of George Washington’s birth.  The Washington Head Quarter was designed by John Flanagan whose design was chosen over 97 other designs in an open competition.  There was no justification for production of quarters in 1932 as there was very little economic activity due to the “Great Depression”.  No quarters had been minted in 1931 and the only US Coins minted in 1932 were the Commemorative Quarters and a small number of Pennies.  No quarters were minted in 1933, but in 1934, Congress decided to continue producing the John Flanagan design on regular-issue quarters.  The only change added his initials which can be seen at the base of George Washington’s neck.   Please add $2.00 for shipping, but if you have won another of my auctions the same day, shipping can be combined (only 30 cents for each additional auction won). Thanks for Looking and Good Luck bidding on this nice Washington head silver quarter from the first decade of production!!
