Vintage silverware set ~ it was a wedding gift to my parents

in 1953.


There is NO monogram, and they were lightly used and always stored in the silverware chest.


The lot includes the following pieces:

8x Dinner knives (non-serrated). Knives measure 9 7/8" long.  The blade is stamped "Towle Sterling Handle Stainless Blade"


8x Dinner forks. Forks measure 8" long.


12x Salad forks.  Measure 6 1/2" long


6x Soup spoons.  Spoons measure 6" long.  The bowl is 1 1/2" x 1 3/4".

1x Soup or sugar spoon.  It looks the same as above soup spoons, but is a tad different.


12x Regular teaspoons.   Spoons are 6"

long.  The bowl is 1 1/8" wide, 2" long.


4x Large Serving/Casserole Spoons.  Measure 8 1/2"

long. The bowl is 3" long, 1 7/8" wide.


1x Ladle which is 7" long.  Bowl is 2 3/8" x 2 1/2"


1x Serving/Meat Fork.  8 1/4" long.  Tynes are 1 1/2" wide 


1x Pierced Server is 7 3/8" long, round pierced part is 2 3/4" wide


1x Butter knife, 7" long.


1x Olive/Pickle fork 6" long.


The Silverware CHEST is bakelite (?) or other plastic/carved (looks like ivory) is 18" wide, 12 1/2" long and

nearly 4" high.  Made by "The Marshall White Co. Chicago ESTATE Chest of Distinction".

Lining is dark brown "Pacific Silvercloth Prevents Tarnish".


From a smoke-free home.  There are some very light scratches on silverware, but like I said we didn't use it much.
