Overview
This fingerprint module is an integrated fingerprint processing module which integrates the optical circuit and fingerprint processing part, featuring small size, low power consumption, simple interface, high reliability, fast recognition speed, good adaptability to wet and dry fingers, and fast fingerprint searching speed. The communication interfaces of this module are USB and UART.

Working Principle
Fingerprint Characteristics
The fingerprint algorithm extracts features from the acquired fingerprint image, which represent the information of the fingerprint. Fingerprint storage, comparison and searching are all done by manipulating fingerprint features.
Fingerprint processing consists of two processes: fingerprint login process and fingerprint matching process [where fingerprint matching is divided into fingerprint comparison (1:1) and fingerprint search (1:N)].
In fingerprint registration, each fingerprint is recorded twice, and the images recorded twice are processed and synthesized into a template stored in the module.
When fingerprint matching, through the fingerprint sensor, record the fingerprint image to be verified and processed, then match and compare with the fingerprint template in the module (if match with one template specified in the module, it is called fingerprint matching method, i.e. 1:1 method; if match with multiple templates, it is called fingerprint searching method, i.e. 1:N method), and the module will give the result of the match (pass or fail).
