Unique collector's piece!  « Roll the Dice » Wirf den Würfel » I have two for sale from the same wartime artist. A third has sold and that one was signed with a date it was made over 8 days in 1945. This one has no signature. But all three were definitely the same artist.

I am assuming the artist was a Ww2 soldier/pilot who made these in his down time.

It is handpainted on wood with rotating propellers mounted on a

metal stand ( sensitive to vibration) on marble base with a painted die.. The die obviously poignant to ‚rolling the dice‘ or the odds of returning after each sortie. A real personal touch.

In my opinion a very unique piece of wartime memorabilia for collectors.

Tail ensignia pencilled out on photo.
