S e c r e t s

A family of manatees find some aquatic plants for lunch, despite the pollution that threatens their habitat. Along with the bottles and cans is a boat propeller, representing one of the greatest dangers to these slow-moving animals: speed boats. The top manatee bears the scars of such an encounter. V.V. inscribed on a rock stands for Victorian Village, a U.S. House of Lords dealer who took Peter Calvesbert to the Lowry Park Zoo to visit the manatees during his 2002 tour. The signature mouse peeks out from a fore-flipper (be careful not to confuse him with the fish!). The interior of the Version One shows a baby manatee (362 pieces worldwide show the baby with a bottle; 2138 pieces worldwide do not have a bottle). The Version Two interior shows a manatee shaving its short, stiff bristles.
