First Day Cover : Centennial Anniversary of Cinema in Thailand Commemorative Stamps

Purpose          :        To commemmorate the Centennial anniversary of cinema in Thailand

Design            :        Illustrate the past history of Thai cinema.

(Type 1) Illustrates, on the left, the picture of King Rama VII filming a movie; and on the right, a                                    picture taken when King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) paid a state visit to Europe for the first time 1897, the                                          first movie documenting Thai History. 

                              3.00 Bht (Type 2)  Illustartes, on the right, the portrait of H.R.H. Prince Sanbassatra,the founding father of Thai

                              cinema ; and on the left, cinema equipment and the first Thai cinema advertisement.

                              7,00 Bht. (Type 1) Illustrates, on the left, an advertisement of  "Double Luck" the first movie produced by a                                   Thai ; and on the right, a band playing in front of a cinema house of that time.

                              7.00 Bht. (Type 2) Illustrates, on the left, an advertisement of "Going Astray", the first Thaisound track movie ; 

                              and on the right, a scenefrom an open-air cinema.
