COMMENTS: Vintage 1920s era TOBACCO (pipe) bag from the KAINAH (Blood) CANADIAN BLACKFEET This is made of old navy blue trade cloth and the beading is over a nice old muslin material. It is beaded on both sides with a classic Blackfeet flat panel of beadwork on one side and a very early striped pattern on the back done in an uncharacteristic lazy stitch. different design and sinew beaded. Beads include greasy greens, greasy mustards, Nez Perce' blues, translucent reds, crow pinks, forest greens, opaque whites, cobalt blues, and traslucent clears and golds, and a greasy brick red. The fringe is al Indian brain tanned hide that looks brand new, however it does not appear to have been replaced. An EXCEPTIONAL EXAMPLE FIT FOR THE BEST OF COLLECTIONS it is clean and as nice as you will find, and has a has a LOW NO RESERVE PRICE !
