It's very close to Akira Toriyama in style. The way he designs the very round backgrounds and, above all, the grimaces.
He won the Fujiko Fujio Prize in 1980 (1st selected) for his one-shot Tamui Shinma (ムイ・シンマ).
He was shortlisted for the 8th Osamu Tezuka Prize for his one shot "My first love".
Today he's still active, periodically drawing press cartoons for newspapers.
