I have here for sale a RARE book entitled L'OFFICE DE LA SEMAINE-SAINTE et de l'Octave de Paques en Latin et en Francois a l'Usage de Rome et de Paris avec les sept-Pseaumes de la Penitence et des Frieres pour la Confession et Communion Pascale.  Traduction nouvelle pour la Maison de Monseigneur le Duc l'Orleans, Premier Prince du Sang.  Published in 1731 by Chez d'Houry, Paris.  There are 6 woodcuts in the text.  This book covers the Holy Week leading up to Easter.  Written in double column format with the French on one side and the Latin on the other.  

Oxblood leather hardboards with gilt blazon of the House of Orleans to the centre of both boards and a gilt border.  5 raised bands, gilt tooling and lettering to the spine.  Bands are rubbed but boards in very good condition.  Marbled endpapers.  Gilt page edges.  One small ink stain to page edges.  A few notes on the rear endpaper.  Clean throughout.  787 pages, 17 cm x 10 cm.
