The colour of the vanes is charcoal grey and you can see from the picture during the day they are opaque but at night they are almost blackout but does depend on where the window is. Street lighting would still come through. These blinds open on a cord with a continuous pull. That is to say if they are open, first they will close, keep pulling and the vanes will move 180 degrees. After they have turned 180 if you keep pulling, the blind will then open. At the time when bought, this was the top of the Luxaflex range.
The other blinds are 187cm x 160.8cm and 254.5cm x 160.8cm. The larger blind has curtain opening i.e. 2 sets of blinds meet in the middle.
