2 Vintage Springerle Shortbread Butter Press Cookie Mold Wood 12 Panel, 9 Panel

12 panel board measures 8 1/4 inches long by 4 5/8 inches wide

9 panel board measures 6 1/8 inches long by 5 inches wide

Condition: Pre-owned.

The 12 panel mold is the older of the two and features what look like fruits, birds, flowers, fish, pear, cherries, a rabbit and a sail boat. There is some dried dough stuck in the long lines on part of the mold.

The 9 panel mold is made by the Nayco Product company and features a springerle cookie recipe on the back. It's a harder wood and had been varnished. Some of the varnish has worn down to the bare wood with use. Animal carvings look like duck, mouse, owl or cat, flowers, birds and maybe a bug.
