Description:
Antverpiae: Ex Officina Plantiniana, Apud Balthasarem Moretum, & Viduam Ioannis Moreti, & Io. Meursium, 1627, Second Edition of the 1570 Roman Missal (the one mandated by the Council of Trent).
Full leather binding with gilt decorated panels, five raised bands and gilt decoration to the spines, gilt titles to a red label. New spine to the original boards, expertly restored with an elegant new spine, repairs internally to page edges.
Ten engraved plates, engraved [four-line] initials; red and black text, title page vignette,
[96], 720, 8, cxxxviii, [6]pp (final leaf a blank).
Collation: A to F in gatherings of 8, A to Yy in gatherings of 8, † in gathering of 4, a to i in gatherings of 8 (final page blank).
Approximately 8 inches tall.
