Mauchline ware binding with illustrated (hand painted) upper board, cloth spine with gilt decoration, red page edges, plain paste downs with gilt dentelles.

Engraved frontispieces and extra engraved title pages complete with tissue guard.

Scarce volume.

Unpaginated.

Approximately 4 ¼ inches tall.

Externally

• Spine – good condition – cloth spine with gilt titles and gilt decoration, faded in places.
• Joints – good condition – both joints are cracked at the paper but holding well.
• Corners – good condition.
• Boards – good condition – full Mauchline ware boards with an illustrated upper board.
• Page edges – good condition – all red.

Internally

• Hinges – good condition – both hinges are cracked at the paper but holding.
• Paste downs – good condition – plain pale yellow with decorative gilt dentelles, some minor foxing.
• End papers – good condition – plain pale yellow, the rear end paper is missing, some foxing.
• Title – good condition – lightly tanned and foxed.
• Pages – good condition – half title present, small ‘vine’ illustration to the main title page, there are different quotes for each day of the week, the facing page is a blank lined page where one can enter own notes, there are a couple of pages where an entry has been made i.e. March 5^th, March 31^st, April 5^th and so on, lightly tanned and foxed throughout.
• Binding – good condition.
