This is a mid grade item. It will have a few minor defects and will generally appear to be in "slightly used" but not "roughly used" condition. Most comics, magazines, and books published in the past 30 years that have been read but carefully handled and stored will fall in this grade range. Allowed defects for this grade include: minor corner wear (bends and blunting), a light accumulation of spine wear that may include color-breaking stresses, a light accumulation of dents, and bends or folds less than one quarter inch in length. Some color breaking is allowed in a bend or fold in this grade range.
Description
Volume 13, Issue 1 - January, 1962. Film in Review is a publication of the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures, Inc, an independent, non-profit organization of public citizens founded in 1909 to represent the interests of the motion picture public. This National Board further assists the development of the motion picture as a source of entertainment, as education, and as art, by providing media for the expression of the public's opinion about films and their cultural and social effects. This issue includes a Long 11-page article about Ruth Chatterton's comeback after sound was developed for motion pictures, complete with her filmography and heavily illustrated with black and white photographs. Also includes movie reviews for classics such as "Babes in Toyland", "Midsummer Night's Dream", "The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone"", "El Cid", and others. Plus movie reviews and letters. 5 1/2-in. x 7 1/2-in., 70 pages, B&W.
