The flex 2 tree has high density bars (rigid) with low density bars (flexible) which is designed to allow for shoulder movement (useful for gaited horses too!). This saddle will fit narrow, higher withered horses well but with the flex tree I've found it's fit a wide variety of horses I've put it on.
