Four volumes bound as one, amended and corrected 1569 (dated foreword by editor Thomaso Porcacchi).
Title page with publisher's engraved crest, 38 woodcut plates / engraved illustrations after Giovanni Antonio Dosio (architect and sculptor 1533-1609, b. San Gimignano) and a fold out map of Rome. The fold out map with closed tears (no loss) to the folds, creased to the join with the text block.
