~ ITEM DESCRIPTION ~

A TOP quality antique Meissen porcelain tea cup and saucer.

Probably the best Meissen set I have had.

Marcolini period, later 18thC/early 19thC.

The cup finely painted with a portrait of Henry IV and the saucer with a portrait of Maximilien de Bethune - the Duke of Sully.

The quality of the painting is just amazing.

All surrounded by fine gilding on a very soft yellow ground.

The cup is 6.5cm tall and the saucer is 13.5c min diameter.

Stunning clean condition, one tiny tiny fleabite to the right side of the saucer and a tiny single flake off the top of the handle.

A WONDERFUL set.

Please see my other antiques and read the auction T&C's before bidding.
