πAttention:
β’ Check steering intermediate shaft and coupling for proper movement.
β’ Most steering gears are equipped with a roller bearing supporting the pitman shaft.Side-to-side movement of the steering gear pitman shaft is normal.
β’ Most steering gears will have free play at the input shaft until pressure is applied from pump.
β’ Inspect hoses for kinks, chaffing and internal restrictions.
β’ Install an in-line filter to eliminate potential restrictions.
β’ Flush system with approved fluid to remove any debris or contamination.
β’ Use the correct fluid type that meets O.E. specifications for your vehicle.
β’ Always replace sealing O-Rings.
β’ Tighten couplings, gear mounting bolts and pitman arm to manufacturerβs specs.
β’ Perform vehicle wheel alignment.

If your car has these symptoms, it means you need to replace your Power Steering Gear Box.
β’ No power steering assist in one direction or both.
β’ Leaks from seals or housing.
β’ Clunk or popping noise.
