It is simple to read the timer panel with its LCD display
and backlight, which is especially useful while working in low light. Lessens
camera shaking and enables 60-meter wireless camera triggering.
Timer mode: Delay (Self timer), Interval (Interval timer), and Long (exposure
timer), N (number of frames setting); BKLN (Auto bracketing timed exposure
setting for HDR, shutter release with instant, continuous 3, 5, or 7 shots).
Shutter release model: S (single shooting), C (continuous shooting), B (bulb),
and 2S (2 seconds delay). Replaces the Nikon remote cord MC-DC2 and the Nikon
MC-36A connection cord.
For time-lapse photography, you can shoot as many pictures
as you'd like with this timer interval meter. In the "Timer" mode,
you can program it to take 199 shots at intervals of 5 seconds, or you can take
an infinite number of shots (the maximum number of shots is 199 programmable
photos, which is an unlimited number of shots).
