Hot Wheels 1:18 Williams-BMW FW26 "Walrus Nose" Ralf Schumacher 2004 - BNIB Sealed.

From the Hot Wheels Racing "Metal Collection", a superbly detailed 1:18 scale replica model Williams-BMW FW26 "Walrus Nose", driven by Ralf Schumacher in the first nine races of the 2004 Formula One season.

Powered by the BMW-Power P84, 3.0-litre V10 engine, the Williams FW26 featured a revolutionary aerodynamics package, with a  radical front section nicknamed the "Walrus Nose". The short, stubby nosecone, connected to the front wing by sloping vertical spars, allowing increased airflow to the underside of the car.
The FW26 proved fast in pre-season testing, however, during the season proper, it was inconsistent and difficult to set up, and was generally outpaced by the Ferrari, Renault and BAR team cars.

Ralf Schumacher took the FW26 to a promising fourth place in the opening grand prix in Australia, before suffering a retirement in Malaysia, while the next three races produced a sixth and two sevenths. Following a tenth and a second retirement, Ralf finished second in Canada, only to later be excluded from the results due to a technical irregularity with the brake ducts. Ralf then suffered a heavy crash at Indianapolis which sidelined him for three months. By the time he returned, Williams had redesigned the front end of the FW26, fitting it with a more conventional nosecone.

This superbly detailed model is BNIB - Sealed, with its original factory seals intact. Box is excellent, with some storage/handling wear. Please see detailed photos to assist your personal assessment.
