Superbly detailed, Limited Edition, Minichamps 1:18 scale replica model Benetton-Playlife B199, driven by Giancaelo Fisichella in the 1999 Formula One season.

Powered by the FB01 V10 engine manufactured by Supertec in a joint effort with Renault and Mecachrome, but badged as Playlife to represent one of the Benetton Group of companies, the B199 proved to be a mainly midfield runner. Although there were some encouraging results in the first half of the season, performance fell away in the second half, with the team failing to score points in the final seven races.

Giancarlo Fisichella managed to take fourth in the opening race and, following retirement in Brazil, claimed fifth in San Marino and Monaco, and missed scoring by one place in Britain. Fisichella and Benetton's highlight of the season, however, came in Canada. After Michael Schumacher fell victim to the Wall of Champions, Coulthard and Irvine collided, with both spinning out, and Frentzen crashed out heavily from second due to brake failure just four laps from the end, the race became the first F1 race to finish behind the safety car, with Fisichella taking second place.

Giancarlo Fisichella's total of 13 points saw him placed ninth in the drivers' table, while Benetton scored 16 points to take sixth in the constructors' - their worst finish since the debut season of 1986.
