Minichamps 1:43 Scuderia Ferrari F310B Michael Schumacher 1997.

From the "Michael Schumacher Collection", a highly detailed Minichamps 1:43 scale replica model Scuderia Ferrari F310B, driven by Michael Schumacher in the 1997 Formula One season.

The F310B was an evolution of the previous season's F310, with an improved shape and mechanicals, and powered by the Ferrari Tipo 046/2 V10 engine. Performance and reliability were much improved, although the car suffered front-end instability until the introduction of new front wing assembly.
While Ferrari finished second once again to Williams in the Constructors' Championship, the gap in points narrowed significantly compared to 1996.

While Jacques Villeneuve claimed five victories, and suffered five retirements in the first eleven races, Michael Schumacher took three wins, three seconds, and suffered only two retirements. Schumacher won again in Belgium, with Villeneuve fifth, but could only manage sixth in the next two rounds, before suffering another retirement, as Villeneuve gained ground with a fifth and two wins. With Villeneuve disqualified in Japan for ignoring yellow flags in qualifying, Schumacher took victory, sending the Drivers' Championship to a last race decider.
On lap 48, with Schumacher leading, Villeneuve attempted to overtake at the Dry Sac corner: braking later on the inside line. Schumacher turned in, resulting in the Ferrari's right-front wheel making contact with the Williams sidepod. Schumacher retired on the spot, while Villeneuve carried on in his damaged Williams to finish third, and secure the drivers' title, after an agreement between Williams and McLaren for Hakkinen and Coulthard to pass without incident.

Model and inlay, which features a reproduction of Michael's signature, are in excellent "as new" condition. Case has some storage/handling marks, while one rear corner has a crack and split seam. Please inspect detailed photos to assist your personal assessment.
