Nice old 'Home Safe' style money box issued by Manchester & Salford Savings Bank.
I'd suggest it dates to the 1910s/20s based on similar items which I've been able to date.
Quite a primitive one, in having just 1 slot for coins and 1 for notes
Stands approx 7.5cms high and 10.8cms across. An odd scratch here and there. N.B. it's actually a bit browner than the photos suggest!
No key but many of these type of savings tins had to be taken to the bank/building society in order to be emptied.
