CANADA 39iii 1872 6c Small Queen cover A48 DEMI-MAJOR RE-ENTRY RARE
1872 6c yellow brown Small Queen tied by bullseye cancel to cover paying the 6c US letter rate from STANHOPE, C.E. SE.20.1872 to Maine.
The stamp is from position 48 of Plate A, first state, and showing the DEMI-MAJOR RE-ENTRY including full doubling of the bottom frameline - a well centered example, two small rust spots, and with cancel positioned away from the key features of this important constant plate variety which is listed in Unitrade as #39iii (but unpriced). This variety is quite elusive as it only existed in the first state of the plate.
I am currently offering a number of Small Queen items from my
collection of Small Queens. I am an international exhibitor of the issue which
I have seriously collected for 30 years. I guarantee that the identification of
these stamps, as to the printing period, perforations, etc., is 100% accurate. These
items are offered with starting prices which are below my cost and which
compare very favourably to other sellers for similar quality stamps.
Shipments over $200 will be required
to be shipped via registered mail at a cost of $12.00 to Canada, $22.50 to the
rest of the World.
