This listing is for a USPS flat rate large box of mixed species burl cutoffs. The dimensions on these blanks are from 7/8" to 3" thick X 7/8" to 3" wide X 3" to 8" long.
These batches are a mixture of Oak burls, Cherry burl, Maple burl and some Ash burl as well. A very nice mixture of burl species in this bundle.
The blanks in the photos are not the blanks you will receive. The photos represent the quality you should expect. I have hundreds of these lots available.
These blanks are all dry and ready to use. The blanks in the photos were slightly wetted to show what they would look like with a finish applied.
These blanks may have small cracks, voids and/or soft spots found within and some slight bowing which is unavoidable when working with spalted and burled woods.
We have a very large supply of spalted Maple. If you'd like a dimension or quantity that you don’t see us offering, just drop an inquiry and Im about positive we can satisfy your request.
We also have a large supply of Red Oak burl, which we will be offering a very large assortment of whole burls in the very near future. These Red Oak burls will range in sizes close to a football sized burl all the way down to ones that are no larger than a quarter.
Along with the whole burls we have about 75 burl caps to get processed and listed in a variety of species. There will be Red Oak, Cherry, Sugar Maple, Silver Maple, Black Ash, Mountain Ash, Yellow Birch, Box Elder, Black Walnut and Aspen burl caps for now but new stock comes along on a regular basis.
We will be listing a large assortment of turning wood blanks in the near future as well. There will be a variety of uniquely spalted woods, highly figured wood, burl wood and some straight grained blanks in an effort to have a little something for everyone. These will be sized for call blanks, turning spindle blanks, bowl blanks, bottle stopper blanks and pepper mill blanks and some pen blanks as well.
