This is an attractive, uncommon, lilac, 1.5-Sen, Japanese postal stationery card sent on January 1, 1906, from the Imperial Post Office in Peking, China, to Nagano, Japan! From other items sent by the same person that I have had in my collection, I can say that the Japanese sender was actually studying Chinese culture and history there in Peking!

To continue, though a bit light/faded in areas, the purple, English-language, CDS cancel from the Imperial Japanese Post Office in Peking is very fine! CDSs from I.J.P.O. in China are notorious(in my experience!) for not coming out too clearly when applied!

Lastly, as for the postal stationery card, itself, it is in quite good condition! It has some stains on either side. But, there are only minor signs of wear and tear on it. Considering that it's over 118 years old, though, this relatively rare, Japanese postal stationery card sent from Peking, China, to Japan, has survived the ravages of time quite well!
