About Ward Hoard

We are an established business dedicated to the resale of the extensive and fabulous range of old (no longer available) as well as more recent Christopher Ward watches.  Have a look at our website for more details of our full range of CW watches and straps.

Pricing and offers

Because of the significant fees here, we are unable to offer any discount here or accept offers. We have an extensive range of CWs on our website (possibly even of the same model in a different strap configuration) covering most budgets and we also buy watches/take as part exchange. Check us out - Ward Hoard.

Please also note that our watches are advertised elsewhere - I'm generally pretty quick at ending the listings here when they sell on our site, but there can be a short delay while they are in fact unavailable.

Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro Automatic Mk1.5 43mm

Introduction

The Mk1 C60 Trident hit the watch world in 2009. It was available in a Henry Ford style ‘any colour you want, as long as it’s black’. The initial price of just £300 was a ridiculous bargain and the watch was an instant hit.

Fast forward to 2012, CW introduced the CHR. WARD logo (replacing the original round CW icon) and also added orange/black, red/red, green/green, charcoal/black, khaki/black and the blue/blue models. I call these the Mk1.5 models as they’re essentially Mk1s, but with the new logo and new colours. .

The price for those Mk1.5 CHR. WARD models was £440 for a rubber/leather model and £510 on the bracelet - still a fantastic deal compared to other Swiss divers which use the same movement - of which there are plenty.

This particular watch does not have its papers so its date is unknown, but it is likely between 2012 and 2014.

Warranty

It doesn’t have papers, and the five year CW warranty would have long expired in any event, so it comes with a three month Ward Hoard warranty.

Strap

It comes on a brand Maratac sailcloth style composite strap (not an original CW).

Other options:

Exchange for brand new CW hybrid (extra £35)

Condition

The watch head is in good, used condition.

These Mk1/Mk1.5 models feature applied aluminium bezel inserts which are fairly easily marked compared to the ceramic Mk2/Mk3 cousins.

The bezel on this one is in pretty good condition, with just one small mark between 3 and 4 and a pinprick mark at 43. The rest of the case is in good used condition with various light marks including a ding on one of the lugs. It is missing its lume pip too. Priced to reflect these faults, and a great classic CW at a great price.

Keeping very good time at -9 spd.
