Mattel fashion dolls have been popular for over 60 years. Up for auction is one of their early Barbies. Our young lady and is all vinyl with a teenage body. She is jointed at the neck, shoulders, and hips. Her brunette rooted hair is styled in a ponytail with curly bangs. She has painted blue eyes, painted brows (left is faded) and red lips. She is dressed in her original zebra striped swimsuit. Barbie is in good condition, however both pinky fingers are missing, and her ears have been pierced. She does show some spotty soiling and a few scratches. She is marked on her bottom “Barbie, pats pend, 1958 (roman numerals) by Mattel Inc”.
