A beautiful English early Victorian antique solid sterling silver bowl or dish, possibly for sweet meats. It is hallmarked for London 1848 with the maker’s marks being James Charles Edington. It has superbly designed being in the form of a flower and is in superb condition being free from dings, splits. Lightly gilded inside. It measures approx. 3.75 inches (9.3cm) across the rim by over 2 inches (5.3cm) across the base by 2 inches (5cm) tall and is heavy weighing 122 grams. A very good quality well made piece.
