You are viewing a lovely,
Vintage Antique Watermans Ideal Red Ripple Fountain Pen w/ Gold Nib! No. 52!
Re-listed owing to non-paying timewaster! This is a highly collectable fountain pen, made by Watermans of Canada! It is the Ideal model, in the 'Red Ripple' design, with a lever-fill system. The pen has a gold nib, and though I can't see a marking for this, is probably 14ct which was standard for Waterman. The pen is in worn, but decent condition save for the cap, which is cracked and at some stage had woven plaster-tape wound around it to keep it together, which is now peeling owing to it's age. The side etchings are very difficult to read owing to beeing so worn. The lid number is 52. I think this is a very early version of this model, as there are no trims on the cap or barrel, so it is more than likely antique. It has been well-used and well-loved, but in the right hands, with some TLC, could still be a good addition to a collection!
Please read the listing in full and supersize all photos as I do not take returns on used items, so items are bought as seen and described.
The pen is 5 1/4" in length.
