You are viewing a lovely,
Vintage Watermans Black Bakelite Propelling Automatic Pencil w/ French Landmarks!
This is a highly collectable item, as far as I am aware, made by Watermans of Canada! It comes in a branded Waterman carboard box, lined with cream satin twill fabric, and fits the box perfectly. It came with a consignment of Waterman fountain pens, but it is not actually marked so it is a bit of a mystery! It is a really unusual automatic pencil, and is made out of what I think is black bakelite, with square sides, and a clear window on each side, with tiny photos of French Landmarks, like the Arc de Triomph, Sacre Coeur, among others. There is a brass top end, which twists to propel the pencil lead up and down. There is one lead fitted, and one spare in the barrel. The end unscrews so you can add more leads if you can find the right size. If anyone knows more about this item, please do feel free to let me know! A fantastic item in great condition!
Please read the listing in full and supersize all photos as I do not take returns on used items, so items are bought as seen and described.
The pencil is 4 7/8" in length.
