EMPTY NAIL BUFFER STYLE,

NO PERSONAL MONOGRAMS OR ENGRAVINGS,
MEASURES 7" x 2",
TOTAL WEIGHT OF 72.2 GRAMS

Shows light wear from use and handling, including minor surface scuff marks and scratches.  It has been gently hand polished and ultrasonic cleaned in a mild dish soap, and it has nice shine and is very clean.  It is straight, not bent out of shape, has no personal monograms or engravings, with no major issues at all.

It is very nicely done in a highly detailed and very pleasing floral and ivy motif that is indicative of the Art Deco era.  This would have been the holder for a finger nail buffer, but the buffer is not included and has since been long lost.  It is maker hallmarked on the bottom STERLING R B CO. T534, mark for historic and listed USA Silversmith, R. Blackinton & Co. of North Attleboro, Massachusetts.

HISTORICAL FOOTNOTE:  The last photo shown was taken from a 1920s era jewelry trademark catalog and completely documents this mark and maker.
