ANTIQUE THECA CASE WITH A RELIC OF ST.FRANCIS DE GERONIMO - JESUIT

Antique theca case 1,2 inches high (3cm) with hanging hook which contains a relic of Saint Francis de Geronimo, also known as Francis Jerome (1642-1716) Italian priest, member of the Society of Jesus or Jesuit Order, preacher, teacher and author. Canonized in 1839.
Oval silver plated brass case decorated on the back case cover with three Sacred Hearts with Flames and Holy Cross, the interior compartment is under glass on a purple background with a silver metallic cord border trim.
The relic is placed on a backing in the center of a cardboard circle with hand written latin text on its interior border sides which reads " Ex.Praecordiis. S.Francisci de Hieronymo S.J. ".
The back case cover can be removed to view the red string seals and a red wax official Church seal with Cardinal's coat of arms stem to certify the authenticity of the relic. All are in place and intact.
Antique reliquary in very good condition with minor signs of age wear, some fades in the silvering.
