This amplifier has essentially the same circuitry as the DC-300, stepped back to 150w, but with a very interesting new feature. Called the IOC ciuruit, the amp compares the input signal to the output – and if there's enough discrepancy, the LED will signal the listener. Not many amps have such a sophisticated and smart way of detecting clipping, in fact this is a feature that not all the D-150A had. This amp has acquired a bit of character over the years, but Crown is gear that gets used, and they were known as bombproof builders.
