For sale is this Oak, twin fusee dial clock. The dial is 14in. The movement is a chain driven movement striking on a bell. The clock will need a professional clean and service as it very dirty and dusty. The clock comes with its original pendulum and suitable winding key.




Sir John Bennett(15 October 1814 3 July 1897)FRASwas a clockmaker and watchmaker. He was described by one biographer as a "flamboyant personality.



The eldest son of John Bennett, watchmaker, ofGreenwich, he was educated atColfe's Grammar School,Lewisham. In 1846 he established his own business as a watchmaker at 65Cheapside, in theCity of London.[1]His younger brother, the poetWilliam Cox Bennett, was also a watchmaker in Cheapside.
