As I was photographing this item, I thought maybe this holds an old kerosene lamp. I really don’t know what it’s for but it sure is beautiful. It’s definitely early 20th century or maybe even late 19th century.

I stuck a magnet on it to see if the magnet would stick and it did not stick. I think that is an indication that it’s either brass or bronze but I’m not 100% sure.

Please let me show you the measurements in the photographs. And all the beautiful details. Those dangle ornaments are beautiful. The whole entire thing is beautiful. It’s definitely something very good quality. But again, I don’t know what it was used for.

This item will arrive exactly as pictured so make sure you look at every single picture and if I’m pointing to something that’s something I want you to see specifically. I didn’t see a makers mark on it. it has 3 feet that are balls. I thought maybe some of the balls were missing but I am sure that’s the way it’s supposed to be.

The inside dimension of the opening is 6 1/8 inches across. So something 6 inches would fit nicely. or smaller

It’s not very heavy but it is definitely good. Heavy quality. Whatever this was for it is loaded up with quality. Original patina untouched.

I’ll run around with the tape measure to show you in the pictures the sizes so keep an eye out for the tape measure.that’s all I could think of. I think it’s beautiful… I think an oil lamp would be amazing inside of it. Use your imagination because this piece is quality. Packing with care 100% accurate. Any questions or comments please feel free to reach out.

Thanks, John.
