Antique, exceptional, large and beautiful French lamp depicting a nude young girl sitting on a foliage and looking towards the fountain. Signed by Nardani and title is Mademoiselle (miss). This highly detailed hand carved lamp has been made at least with four different tones or alabaster and has a really fascinating scene with a fountain from which the light emerges. The surface of the fountain (made in alabaster too) reflects a warm light on the face and body of the your girl.  This impressive lamp has its original alabaster pedestal (the pedestal belongs to the lamp). The quality of carvings is impressive and an example of the highest French standards of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The naturalness in the posture of the young girl and the details of their anatomy are truly amazing and denote absolute mastery, talent and professionalism. This lamp produces a brightness that creates a mysterious and fascinating atmosphere. As you can see on pictures, this sculptural lamp is in very good condition, with slight signals of use consistent with age. An extraordinary lamp for demanding collectors. Overall height is 47 inches.
