This 1964 stereo demo album by Columbia Masterworks (MS 6579) (also issued in mono form as ML 5979) features performances of works by Béla Bartók (Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta) and Paul Hindemith (Concert Music for Strings and Brass, Op. 50) performed by the New York Philharmonic, conducted by Leonard Bernstein. Album notes are in English by Edward Cole.

The outer sleeve shows a large red inkstamped "DEMONSTRATION - NOT FOR SALE" on the back, plus a small collection index sticker in the upper right corner (Photo 2).
