Below is a brief summary of each boat included on a single high quality CD - only here will you find all 10 of these ICEBOATS along with lofting and epoxy information:
1. Crawfish:
A streamlined Iceboat, Fast front steering craft with a snug, teardrop cockpit that will protect you from bitter winter winds. Overall length is 28 feet with 175 square foot of sale, classifying her as a Class C racer. The cockpit will take two riders; any additional passengers may have to ride the runner plank, with the body providing some wind protection. Race with the big boys with this plan!
2. Cold Lightening:
A smaller Iceboat put into the skeeter class. If you dare you can travel over 100 MPH, no joke she is fast! With a total weight of only 275 lbs she carries 71 square feet of sail area. No joke Cold Lightening is faster than others costing hundreds of dollars more to build.
3. Polar Bear:
Polar Bear is a 10 Meter Ice Yacht designed by Alvin M. Youngguist. Similar to the larger ore expensive 15 meter class. The Polar Bear was developed for class racing at the Maumee Bay Ice Yacht Clubs, Toledo, Ohio. A complete bill of materials is provided with this 5-page plan. Polar Bear is about 20 feet long and 12 feet wide, with about 90 square feet of sail (that is 10 square meters, where the class of boat came from).
4. Whiz:
Like all Iceboats Whiz is no exception to speed -Class E Ice Yacht. This may not be an iceboat for beginners but everyone who has ever built an ice yacht started with their first so if you do try this plan you will have one great Iceboat!
5. Tom Thumb Ice Boat for Boys and Girls:
This is a simple plan built in an afternoon. Tom Thumb is about 6 feet long and 3 feet wide. Materials are things you would find in a normal workshop. Basic plan just for the fun of it.
6. Pusher ICE YACHT for Boys and Girls:
This is also a simple plan built in an afternoon. Pusher Ice Yacht is 5 feet long and 6 feet wide. Pusher Ice Yacht is a single page plan that looks like a great home project to build with the kids. Grandpa or Dad get those little guys into the work shop now so you are ready for this winter. Another basic plan just for the fun of it.
7. Surf-Sail-Ice Boat:
Without a doubt you can have a whale of a lot of fun with this little craft, using sunbathing raft, aquaplane, and yes even an iceboat. This is a three in one craft design for year round fun. She is 115 inches long, and about 34 inches wide. Includes a complete Iceboat frame materials list. The plans are described in 8 easy to follow pages. Now this is a plan you will not find anywhere so don’t miss your chance to build your own all season craft.
8. ICEBOX ICE BOAT
Icebox Ice Boat plans out of Sweden contained in 20 pages that detail the complete assembly of this boat. It is a single person ice boat that is more modern than some of the vintage designs offered to the home builder. You will have a hard time finding a nicer project and one that is so much fun on the ice!
9. CLASSIC ICE BOAT
Classic Ice Boat plans out of Sweden contained in 14 pages that detail the complete assembly of this boat. This is a simple plan for a single modern person ice boat. The step by step plans are provided in real detail for the home builder. This is a great home project for you and the family.
10. 75-SQUARE FOOT ICE BOAT
This small ice yacht was designed to fit ehe 75 square foot racing class. The wood work is very simple, but you will need to have some parts machined. No loft work is necessary, since layout can be made directly on the pieces themselves. The complete plan is 5 pages that covers the assembly of this boat. the boat is about 17 feet long and about 12 feet wide. Another great home project for you and the family.
11. A plan which shows you how to make full size project plans:
