Description

Soviet Lens INDUSTAR-69 2.8/28 mm, mount M39, for Chaika camera, made in USSR.

----------------------------------

Industar-69 2.8 / 28 - a lens from the Soviet scale camera brand 'Seagull'. There are several options for 'Industar-69', so on the first models of 'Chaika' cameras there was a fixed version of the lens, and on the models 'Chaika-2, -2M, 3' this one was installed.

Chaika-2 is a semi-format camera of the Soviet scale. The second model from the family of the same name. It was produced in 1967-1972 by the Minsk Mechanical Plant named after S. I. Vavilov (Belarusian Optical and Mechanical Association).

The lens has an M39x1 thread, but, unlike other rangefinder lenses, its working distance is shorter than usual and is 27.5 mm. And it is also designed to work with a frame of 18x24. In modern terms, it is only suitable for cropped cameras with an APS-C sensor, and when used on full-frame cameras, it will give the strongest vignetting.

Industar-69 2.8 / 28 is of course best used with modern mirrorless cameras.

With Industar-69 2.8 / 28 we get the opportunity to use a fast wide-angle macro lens.
