Colonel Russell Potter Reeder, Jr., born into an Army family, graduated with the West Point class of 1926, successfully and bravely led the 12th Infantry Regiment of the 4th Infantry Division onto Omaha Beach on D-Day. Seriously wounded a few days later by artillery, he was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross and evacuated. Unable to return to combat, Red Reeder served out his career as Assistant Director of Athletic at West Point and authored more than a dozen books.


Second of a series of six books about the adventures of Clint Lane and his friends at West Point and beyond. End-papers are a map of West Point.
