Roger Rees
1944 - 2015
A vintage page measuring 4" x 6" signed in Red ink by the Welsh actor Roger Rees he is remembered for the television series - Cheers, Titanic, Law and Order, page dedicated to Laurie.
Page taken from the 78 books i purchased from the Laurie Butcher Collection…A excellent provenance and well documented on Google,
For 64-years Laurie Butcher gathered signatures from actors, sporting legends, musicians, presidents and Prime Ministers. He even had the first men in space, on the moon, and to climb Everest! His collection was astonishing. Before he passed-away in 2018, Laurie, who lived in Totteridge, asked his step-daughter to sell his collection and donate the proceeds to North London Hospice, in thanks for the care provided to his late wife,
“There were 7,500 signed theatre programmes, 23 albums of signed photos, two big crates of signed photos, 243 autograph books and five shelves of signed biographies and autobiographies, The collection was sold in Auction by Excalibur Auctions Ltd on 26th January 2019, 30th March 2019
