This neat, sepia post card of Riga, Latvia, was sent on July 24, 1926, by a sailor serving aboard the USS Lardner to kin in Harrington Park, New Jersey, U.S.A.! The USS Lardner  was a Clemson-class, destroyer commissioned in 1919.

To continue, while there are some shorter perfs at its bottom, left side, the maroon and peach, 15-Santimu, Latvian definitive is in pretty good condition. One of the two cancels from the Riga P.O. is pretty nice.

Lastly, as for the condition of the post card, it's very fine! Aside from some minor stains on the front, it's quite clean! There is very little wear and tear around the edges. Noted imperfections aside, this is a neat piece of U.S. Naval postal history connected to a sailor serving on the USS Lardner, and family in New Jersey!
