This is a used Yamaha mouthpiece in very good used condition. Rim and cup are smooth.  Plating is excellent.   Minor surface scratches only.

The Jazz model has a fairly deep roomy cup for a warm, big sound, and a throat and backbore designed to give enough "jump and snap" for maneuvering through quick jazz passages with a rich full sound.

Yamaha partnered with Bobby Shew to create the TR-SHEW-JAZZ, the legendary musician's signature trumpet mouthpiece. This mouthpiece comes with a standard cup depth and a slightly larger diameter, which produces extra warmth and depth of tone. Beyond that, the TR-SHEW-LEAD has a semi-thick rim with a semi-round contour for lasting comfort. Players note that the roomier throat and backbore give the player enough jump and snap to navigate jazz passages with ease.
