I have here for sale a beautifully illustrated book entitled LANCASHIRE ILLUSTRATED in a Series of Views.  Towns, Public Buildings, Streets, Docks, Churches, Antiquities, Abbeys, Castles, Seats of the Nobility etc from Regional Drawings by Austen, Harwood, Pyne, etc and engraved on steel by Rob Wallis.  Published in 1831 by Henry Fisher, Son & Peter Jackson (the illustrated title page has date of 1829 but the plain text-only title page has 1831 so I have gone with the later date).  There are 104 b/w engraved plates set over 52 pages (2 per page) and 104 pages of descriptive text to accompany them.  Plates are tissue-guarded.

Half black leather on brown marbled hardboards.  6 gilt decorative bands and gilt motifs to the spine, a red leather title block and gilt lettering.  Some scuffs and wear to board edges.  The odd spot of foxing to the tissue guards but generally the pages are clean and firmly bound.  156 pages, 27 x 22 cm.

We have over 2000 items in our Ebay shop on a wide range of subjects, so please feel free to have a browse and see if anything else takes your fancy.

Postage will be by Air Mail outside of UK.  If you buy more than one item then the postage cost falls for the second and further items as I will put them into one parcel - so you save money. We wrap and post the parcels on Monday and Tuesday - therefore if you pay before midday on Tuesday we will get it in the postal sacks on Tuesday night, and if it is after that time then it will go into the postal service on the following Monday.
