Vintage solid metal pocket, novelty pencil sharpener - clown in a top hat. Estimated to date from 1950s.

The sharpener is an unknown brand, heavy to feel in the hand and solid. The clown character is in a black top hat with green band; he wears a blue bowtie. The pencil is inserted up through the clown's 'neck' to sharpen. Stamped 'foreign' in the inside.

In good, used condition: paint on outside of clown is scraped, scuffed and worn off in many places. Blade is rather patinaed/rusty. Note that sharpener has not been tested as to actual pencil sharpening function.

Sharpener measures approx 5cm length, 3cm width.
