Publisher’s original binding with original paper label to the spine, in very good original condition, with 25 hand coloured plates (including the frontispiece listed on page 199) with very little foxing, some offsetting from the plates to the opposing pages. Plate 199 bound in as the frontispeace.

 

Provenance: signature of Desmond Little to the title page, 'Little' in pencil to the end paper; other signature in ink crossed our to the title.

Approximately 10 and a half inches tall.

  • Joints – good condition – some rubbing.
  • Corners – good condition – bumped and worn.
  • Boards – good condition – marked and worn original bare boards.
  • Page edges – good condition – all edges darkened and untrimmed.

  • Paste downs – good condition – tanned, clean.
  • End papers – good condition – tanned, signature to the front.
  • Title – good condition – tanned with some minor foxing.
